CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME…FROM THE SOFA no less!!
THERE’S ‘SUMMIT’ ABOUT A BLOG…. LET’S RAISE THE AWARENESS STAKES

Karen just climbed the highest mountain in the world – and she didn’t even need boots! You really can bring Charity home – thanks to the willingness of fundraisers like ‘our Karen’ for offering their time and effort to raise money for a variety of worthy causes – and to the generosity of donators, parting with their hard-earned cash in full support.
A little thinking outside the box and a little hope can inspire the best of us to ‘do what we can’. We are great believers in fund-raising here at New World Business Centre – if you have any bright ideas, please let us know!
Now for the history part:
Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust runs the pre-World War II RUH, a major acute-care hospital in Coombe Down, Bath. The Trust also runs the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (since 2015) and Sulis Hospital at Peasedown St John (since 2021). The RUH has teamed up with The Forever Friends Sofa to Summit Appeal in order to ‘move mountains’ and raise essential funding. The appeal gives its willing participants 61 days to reach the summit of Mount Everest, a mere 8,848m of pure calf-muscle building! Of course, you don’t actually have to leave home if you don’t want to. Use the stairs, travel a short distance to an outdoor area, or pop to the local park. As long as you make the climb, you’ve reached the big goal! And don’t forget – it’s only the UP that counts!
Karen says “this opportunity was too good to miss. Improving my fitness and raising funds for a worthwhile cause at the same time”.
Thank-you Karen – your efforts will not go unnoticed! Inspired anyone??
