25.08.2020 – Covid-19 Info – Measures in place
Please be assured that New World Business Centre takes the health and safety of its tenants and visitors very seriously. We would like to reassure you by detailing the measures we are taking in view of the challenging situation posed by the latest Coronavirus COVID-19.
The Government recommends that the best defence mechanism continues to be thorough hand washing and we have plenty of hand wash available for use in the toilets and kitchen. In order that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained, we are carrying out regular deep cleans. Top up cleans throughout the day in the communal areas keep door handles and other areas that people commonly touch sanitised. We have installed bespoke arm hooks in our toilets which negates the need to touch pull handles. Antibacterial gels are available at reception, in the kitchen and toilet facilities. Information posters giving the latest Government guidance are also displayed throughout the Centre.
- New auto ‘touch free’ hand sanitiser dispensers have been installed in reception, toilets, kitchen and outside the meeting room.
SOCIAL DISTANCING during COVID-19
The latest Government advice suggests keeping a safe distance during face-to-face interactions. We are implementing this with visitors to reception by keeping a safe distance, avoiding handshakes and cleaning reception desk pens after every visitor interaction. All tenants and visitors are asked to maintain ‘corridor and communal area social distancing etiquette’. E.g. * One person in a corridor at one time * One person at the tea-station at one time. Meeting room numbers are being kept to a minimum to maintain a safe distance between delegates. Meeting hosts have the choice to ask their delegates to wear face coverings. We have changed our meet & greet procedure for external meeting room users.
Delegates are now asked to enter via The Brisbane Suite (patio doors) and wait to be taken to their meeting room by their host. Hosts and delegates are asked to adhere to our social-distancing etiquette when using our corridors to access facilities. We are asking that any staff or visitors to the centre presenting with a cough, temperature or any other symptoms relating to COVID-19 please stay at home. Tenants will have their own company procedures within their offices. Such as extra cleaning of desks and other commonly touched surfaces, plus increasing the distance between desks if deemed necessary. We hope that you and your colleagues all stay safe during this time. Should you have any queries, please get in touch with the New World Business Centre team. We will get through this by working together. So, lets’ keep doing the right thing.
23.06.2020 – Tenant voices matter
Thank you to our tenants for your testament on how we have handled risk within our Centre during the COVID-19 pandemic, your safety is our priority.
“I wanted to say that I do feel the NWBC has handled the Covid outbreak exceptionally well with the provision of gel & extra hand wash in the kitchen, clear & professional signage and a quick reaction at the outset which certainly gave me confidence. I wanted to say thanks to you all for reducing the risk for us. Thanks. Clare.”
01.06.2020 – We are Back!
As we enter the next phase of ‘Lockdown Easing’, we welcome Reception back to the building along with some more of our tenants. How are we doing it? At a distance of course. We have introduced new measures which include the following:
Social Distancing & Hygiene
- A Temporary Reception area
- All visitors, post and courier deliveries will report to the temporary Reception, leaving our original Reception area free for access to Tenants only.
- Visitors to internal offices will follow social distancing rules and be asked to avoid any communal areas.
- A separate entrance/exit for all meeting room users.
- An abundance of Social Distancing and COVID-19 H&S signage in and around the Centre
- Plenty of anti-bacterial hand gel and hand soap in all communal areas of the building.
- Our tenants are asked to follow certain guidelines when using the corridors, toilets and kitchen areas.
We will take our lead from Government Guidelines at all times and update our processes as a result of any changes.
